This is a really easy and simple recipe that is ideal for guinea pigs that are nursing pups or need to gain weight and get their energy levels up, this will also help the pups eat more than just their mothers milk and will prepare them for the food that they will eat in the future. But the best part is that it can be made with simple ingretdiants that you will most probably already have in the house and basic kitchen appliances!
Ingrediants:
Banana

Carrots
Water.
Appliances:
Knife
Chopping board
mug
Fork
Spoon
Bowl
and a Blender
Instructions:
1. If you have frozen bananas or frozen carrots first defrost them. But you dont have to start this the night before! Just remove the frozen veg from the package (if there is one) and place in the mug. add boiling water. Leave to soak while you complete the next steps. Make sure that they're copped up into smaller bits.
2. Blend your Pellets. It's best to use the pellets that you're planning on feeding the pups as it will get them used to the taste of them, making it easier for them to transition onto solid food. Blend your pellets until they're a powder consistancy.
3. Next add your Chopped carrot and the half a mug of water into the blender and blend it thoroughly to make sure that there isn't any big chuncks in the mixture. Blend until the mixture is a gooey consistancy.
4. Next, drain your bananas if they were soaking, and place them into the bowl. Use the fork to mash the bananas until it is a gooey almost runny consistancy.
5. Then, spoon in your blended mixture to the bowl. You dont have to use it all, just keep adding spoon fulls of the mixture into the bowl until there is an equal amount of mixture and banana. Mix together well.
6. Then place your mash into your Guinea pigs bowl and feed!
